Clubhouse Hours

We can confirm we are able to continue with our regular clubhouse hours, albeit still short until our isolating staff can return later this weekend.

Thanks to all our team that have pitched in and special mention to Acacia and Kimmi for their efforts.

Thanks also to our members for your understanding as we figured Tuesday out ensuring majority of the memhers playing had access to the facilities.

Course Change - Hole 10

There will be two changes coming soon to the mow lines for holes 10 & 7.

No 10

This change will see the small 'run through' rough mown area just short of 10th green change to fairway height (12mm) continuing the fairway entirely through to the green.  Cutting this as fairway heigh will allow for more ball run and on a reachable Par 5 (for some) improve possibility for reaching in or under regulation.  This area is fully irrigated and has been sprayed recently for undesired weeds.  Turf health is of no concern in changing height of cut and maintenance practices.

Course Change - Hole 7

No 7

This change will see the small 'run through' rough mown area 50 metres short of 7th fairway change to fairway height, continuing the fairway entirely through to the approach.  Currently this area serves no purpose as rough cut as it is too far from the men's to be penial and generally holds many second approach shots and low running shots.

Cutting this as fairway height 12mm will allow more run from approach shots and visually improve the hole.  This area is fully irriagated and has been sprayed recently for undesired weeds. Turf health is of no concern in changing height of cut and maintenance practices.

Small amount of paspalum may need to be turfed out in the future.

Course Repair Reminder

There is still a lot of pitch marks on our greens. If you can please repair at least one pitch mark on each green as you play this will help the turf repair faster and a more enjoyable surface to putt on.

From The President

On behalf of the management committee, I would like to acknowledge and thank the staff for getting the club through these testing times of covid, to the best of their ability.  Everyone is chipping in; greens staff are working with less numbers in two pods to keep the course maintained, F&B staff are working extra hours to keep us operational, how often would you see the club office staff (Meg) and the General Manager (Michelle) working in the kitchen, making scones, salads, pies etc., due to staff being away because of covid?

Hopefully, the peak of covid is near and better times are ahead but, in the meantime, members patience while the club staff do their best is appreciated.
