Driveway Speed

Please ensure you are going in and out our driveway at a slow and appropriate speed. We've had a couple of incidents where members are coming in far too fast and then heading towards the cart sheds at an unneccessary speed.

Lets be mindful of this to ensure there are no accidents.

Golf Updates

Greenwood Cup

We finished our Greenwood Cup campaign for 2023 off with a narrow 5.5/4.5 win against Maraenui on Sunday afternoon.  Losing 3 matches 4.5/5.5 ultimately cost us a chance to retain the cup.

Well done to Mike Trass who won Bretherton Buist Trophy for hightest points scored and at the highest seed with 6.5 points out of 7.  Mark Tasker had the same individual record but played further down the team sheet.

Results can be found on the Golf HB & PBW Inc website here.

If you are one of our lower handicap players please keep an eye out for notices regarding pennants, Coronation Cup and Greenwood Cup in 2024.

NZ Interprovincial

Congratulations to Jared McGillicuddy, Mike Trass and Martha Manaena who have been selected to represent Hawke's Bay at the Interprovincials in early December being held at Paraparaumu and Waikanae courses.

NZ Representation

Congrats Di Syer and Stuart Duff who recenlty represented New Zealand at the Masters Asia Pacific held in Vietnam.  Final Golf NZ media release can be found here.

Tuesday Men vs. Women

The second challenge between the Tuesday Men and Tuesday Women took place Tuesday 28 November.  The day was kindly supported by Suzelle Lingerie & Swimwear and Thomson Suits with a great fashion parade showing some of their summer clothing.

The men were looking to defend the trophy to keep for another year and the women were looking to win to make the honours even for 2023.  Unfortunately for the women it was not to be, with the men having an average of 33 pts to the women's 31.9 pts to make it two from two for the men for 2023.

There was some great scoring with the best woman golfer Andrea Cranswick having 39 pts and best man golfer Graeme Bell having an outstanding 41 pts.
