Due to the increased demand for tee times - due to membership growth and visitor numbers increasing - it has been decided that we will enable members to book their games of golf using www.golf.co.nz 14 days ahead of the play date as opposed to the current 7.  This will enable members to secure their tee times further out which will ensure more people are playing golf when they wish too.  It is also important that when someone books in advance but realises they cannot make the tee time that they are able to remove themselves from the booking (unless it is on the day of play then a call to the pro shop is required).

 

Our Hastings Golf Club app and the NZ Golf app now make it even easier to book yourself a game.  Feel free to download them and if you have any problems please talk to Thomas, AJ or Brett in the Pro Shop. 

 

If you wish to book a group of golfers (e.g. block booking not using all names) we are able to do this in the Pro Shop also but will strictly be following the two week in advance rule so that all members have a fair chance at booking the tee times which suit their schedule.  The only exception to this rule is if a visitor group (which may or may not include members) contacts us.  We are starting to keep track of the names of which are being used to 'hold' a booking but the golfer is not playing.  This is not an acceptable practice so please book only the names of golfers who are playing.  It is important that we know who is playing on the course in case of an emergency.

 

We firmly believe that continuing to expose our golf course here at Hastings to as many visitors as possible is the key to our success as a club.  We have had a great start to the summer golf and have groups from Sweden, Australia and China booked in to experience our course already before the end of 2018.  The green fee revenue is expected to top $200,000 this year which is a testament to how good a golf course we have and how welcome our members make visitors feel - not to mention how  much these groups spend on food and beverage!  Members can be rest assured that visitor use is not permitted on Tuesday mornings or Thursday afternoons in advance.  Naturally, if there are spare tee times at the back of a field we will do our best to accommodate once the members golfing needs have been met.
