Well done to Trish Macklow who recently won the Intermediate division at the GHB & PBW Women's Champion of Champions played last month.  Trish had a gross score of 184.

 

Congratulations to Thomas Alderson and Dylan Bagley who were selected and represented Hawke's Bay at the Toro Interprovincials held at Clearwater last week.

 

And, this week at Waitikiri GC in Canterbury Fiona Ellis is representing  Hawke's Bay in the women's Toro Interprovincial and Rahira Ellison is travelling reserve.

Chairs 

As you may have noticed we are in the process of having the lounge chairs reupholstered. These are being done in stages to leave you all some chairs and we appreciate your patience during this period. 

 

The job will be completed before Christmas and thanks extended to member Richard Hoggard's company Regal Furniture for completing this work for the Club.

 

TV's

We've been in the process of installing some nice new (and bigger) panels in the clubhouse and thank BDL Toshiba for their continued support of Hastings Golf Club.

 

There's been a bit of bad luck with the bigger 75" for the end wall.  The first we received was cracked and the replacement is the wrong model for what we need to achieve!   With Christmas so close Samsung have advised we will have a replacement early January.

The year has flown by and it's time for some Christmas Cheer.

The women's tournament is next Tuesday, 11th December.  Please add your name to the list in the locker room which has all the information you need detailed.  Entry fee $20 which includes lunch and raffle.  It is appreciated that this is prepaid prior to Tuesday, please call into the office.

The Men and Saturday women's tournament is Saturday 15th December with two shotgun starts; 8:00am and 12:15pm.  Please add your name to the online tee booking sheet. Entry fee $10.

The annual collection under the tree in the clubhouse foyer is underway.  If your able, please contribute non-perishable food items for the community annual collection.

 

 

This Friday we welcome back Hawke's Bay Orienteering who visited us back in March.  

They will be holding their final event for 2018 and conclude with a Christmas Function at Fairways. 

 

Please be advised, for safety reasons, the course will be CLOSED from 5:30pm this Friday 7th December 2018.

The Club's annual general meeting was held last night.  The election for the two places on the Club's Management Committee resulted in Lynne Roberts and Murray McNae being successful.

Thanks to Kim Goodwin, Frank Spencer and Peter Bailey for putting their names forward.

 

The Men's Club Captain is Ian Shears and Women's Club Captain Liz Wood.  With Paul Clothier and Martha Manaena making up the Golf Committee.
