The HB Referees Association will be running the R&A Level 2 Rules course in May for all those interested in extending their knowledge of the Rules of Golf and for our Club Rules Officials to gain/regain their District Rules Official status.

 

This syllabus includes a Level 2 R&M Preparation Guide which will be sent to interested attendees as soon as registered which is requested to be by 8th April 2019.  The Preparation Guide has a series of very helpful pre-seminar handy hints and exercises for delegates to get/gain the best out of the R&A Level 2 Rules course.

Our very successful Ronald McDonald Member Guest tournament was held a couple of weeks ago and was again enjoyed by all participants.  

 

Our tournament winners Ron Robbie who played with guest Mike Gordon were the lucky winners of a $3,500 golfing package to Queenstown.  Mike is also one of our newest members!

 

The club has chosen to support this charity who locally have seen over 100 families from Hawke's Bay stay in Ronald McDonald House in the last year alone.  Members should be proud of the $17,000 raised to be contributed to RMHC.

  

 

 

A month into our campaign and kills are ticking along nicely.  Thanks to Murray McNae and our small team of volunteer who are checking and clearing the traps.

Our Fairways Mystery Lunch is fast becoming a popular option for small groups and a chance to experience the Chef's choice created from local seasonal produce and matched with a local wine to compliment the dish.

 

But don't just take our word for it. We received this wonderful email following a recent luncheon.

 

I just want to express my appreciation for the delicious Mystery lunch produced by Kieran on Saturday. Having seen the wide variety of food presented daily in the cafe I felt sure he would create something special and he did. The wonderful dish, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented far exceeded my expectations. In my opinion his creation was on a par with any of the top restaurants here. I think the concept of a mystery lunch is a great and unique idea which makes dining out most interesting.

Furthermore we enjoyed the personal attention at the table by the chef. Cait was perfect as your front of house and Keita in the back ground was as always friendly, cheerful and helpful.

In fact I think all of the cafe staff are good and a credit to the Golf Club.

Thank you for making my birthday so very special.
