It is with sadness we recognise the passing of Peter Longstaff.  

 

Peter joined the Club in 1959 and over the years participated in all club mixed and mens competitions with his handicap getting as low as 12. 

 

Peter was heavily involved in the running of the club and especially the upkeep and maintenance of the course and its surrounds.  For many years he was a committee members and headed the course sub committee.

 

Peter reluctantly stopped playing golf in 2004 but maintained a keen interest in the club.  In recognition of his tireless work and voluntary contributions made to the club over 40 years, he was accorded life membership in 2005.

 

To Buffy, your extended family and friends, our deepest sympathies. 

A reminder to all our members we have access to a number of worldwide courses through our affiliation with Pacific Links International.  You can now travel the world and golf at over 390 clubs in 36 countries!

 

The system has been updated and members can now make bookings direct rather than previously through the club.

We are pleased to announce Fairways will be participating in the upcoming Winter FAWC! Food and Wine Classic being held 7 - 30 June 2019.

A reminder the second instalment of your membership subscriptions issued 1st April are due for payment by 30th April 2019.

 

 

Please note we have heard from Napier Golf Club they are no longer hosting the upcoming women's Toro Interprovincial in December.  

NZ Golf have confirmed they are currently working on a replacement venue in Hawke's Bay and we will advise once confirmed.

It would be appreciated if the loading zone adjacent to the 4th tee area be left clear at all times.  This space is often used by our suppliers to easily access deliveries into the clubhouse, which does include Saturdays.
