Wow, what a week it's been.  Well actually, it hasn't even been one week yet!

 

We trust you are all safe in lockdown and enjoying the company of those in your bubble.

 

To our members that are in essential services and continue to keep us going - thank you!  We appreciate all the hard work you are doing to get us through.

 

Following government instruction the course and facilities are on full lockdown.  New Zealand Golf is working tirelessly in lobbying the Ministry to get some dispensation for clubs to resume minimum course maintenance.  There are some 4,000 submissions in front of the Ministry seeking dispensation.  We thank New Zealand Golf for working on behalf of all clubs throughout New Zealand.  Until this is granted, we like most industries remain at home.

 

As mentioned last week, the Management Committee have delayed the second installment of subscriptions until 1 May 2020.  Once this is all over the Club looks forward to welcoming everyone back.

 

The Golf Committee will start looking at rescheduling competition dates in due course.

 

Until then, we hope the backyard has turned into the perfect chipping area and the old sheets have been of some use over the washing line.  We'd love to see some photos of your golfing lockdown to publish on the club's Facebook page. So, send these through with a caption to info@hastingsgolfclub.co.nz
