On the weekend of 29th/30th August our club hosted Coronation Cup zone play. Four teams took part; Hastings, Porangahau, Takapau and Waipukurau. The weekend was excellent as was the performance of our Hastings team. They were dominant over the three rounds recording a resounding victory. Of the 36 matches we played we recorded 28 wins, 4 losses and 4 halves. Five players won all three matches and a further four were undefeated. Our visitors passed many comments regarding the first class presentation of our course and how smoothly the weekend went. The team would like to thank AJ for organising and running the event, Gordon and his team for their work in giving us such quality, the kitchen and bar staff for their efforts in trying times, and lastly, you the members who may have had to give up your weekend round to allow us to play. We now go on to the finals at Dannevirke.
