This year the 18 holes competition shootout will be played over 9 holes only with 2 players eliminated each hole. Also, for 2021 we have introduced a 9 Hole Shootout so get your cards in for this fun competition.

Winter Extra Day Eclectic Scores Competition

Each year the club runs an eclectic competition from March through to October. The lowest score made on each hole through the period is recorded, producing an 18-hole score, giving each player a Gross Eclectic score.

What is an Eclectic golf competition? It is a competition conducted over a period but results in one 18-hole score per player. A player’s Eclectic score is the lowest stroke-play score the player has obtained for each hole over the stipulated time for the competition. Each player’s final handicap (the one which the player plays their final stroke round on) is then used to determine a Net Eclectic score by having this handicap and taking it from the player’s Gross Eclectic score. The Eclectic competition is run on Extra days of play.

Valid score cards can be submitted, signed by their marker, and signed next to each valid score in the Eclectic Spreadsheet folder. Remember all scores must be putted out there are no Gimmies or Pickups. The folders for 18 hole and 9 Hole members are held in the Women’s Locker Room.

Rules Course 2021

Just a reminder there is a Rules Course commencing on March 22nd at 7.30pm. There are five seminars and is completed by 10th May. Please register with Lance Williams at 06-877 4091. Cost: $20.00

Also well done to a number of our Women’s Members in attending the hands-on Rules Refresher Course on Monday 1st and Wednesday 3rd March. It was a practical course held on our practice course and covered, Out of Bounds, Free Relief, Bunker, Penalty areas and procedures for players when issues arise in applying the rules plus more. Lots of questions and answers well worth it. Thanks to Ian and his team of Umpires.
