It is with sadness we recognise the passing of Mrs. Joan Padman.  Joan was a Life Member and had a long and rich history with the club.

 

Joan joined the Hastings Ladies' Golf Club once her children were of school age and got fully involved with club activities.  She became ladies secretary from 1960 to 1962 then onto president in 1965 to 1966.

 

Joan was also a support for husband Noel who himself had a long history as office bearer of the club.  Joan (and Noel) were both made life members by their respective clubs in 1981. 

 

To Howard, your family and friends, our deepest sympathies. 

 

We are hosting the NZ Men's Interprovincials 25-30 November and require member assistance with a few tasks throughout the week.

 

If you are able to offer some time please check out the noticeboards (men & women) and select the time slot you are available to help out.  All help is appreciated as we undertake this tournament which we have not hosted since 1989.

 

Members are also welcome to attend the opening ceremony at 5:00pm on Monday 25 November 2019 hosted by New Zealand Golf.

 

Reciprocal Arrangement

As Maraenui Golf Club are hosting the women's event the week after the men, we have arranged complimentary access between our two clubs for each tournament.  If you wish to play at Maraenui anytime between 25-30 November please contact their pro shop direct on 835 8656.  Do not book via DotGolf as you will be charged! 

We are coming to the end of the club competitions and hope everyone that has participated has enjoyed the season.  

 

Congratulations to Guy Turner who has won the Veterans Cup for 2019. 

 

Congratulations also to our Women's Champion of Champions team consisting of Martha Manaena, Nichola Dallas & Libby Warren who are winners of the Gross Stableford Rosebowl.  And to Nic, for winning the intermediate division.

 

The Shootout finals will be held 24 November and all those involved have been contacted.  A huge thanks to Bayswater European for supporting this event.

 

Best of luck to our team heading into the final rounds of the Greenwood Cup at Hawke's Bay Golf Club this weekend.  If you're able head over to support the guys, we're sure they'd love to see as many Hastings members there supporting them. 

A number of members have had hole in one successes in the past few weeks.  Congratulations to you all.
