What a season it has been with the weather from frosts, storms to warm days. I trust you all have been out enjoying the course which is looking great.

The Women’s Calendar is busy with Club Championships draw up and Match Play Competitions under way. Please be proactive in organising your matches so we can complete each competition on time.

Midweek Pennants & Crossman/Golf Fanatics

The midweek pennants have their final round on Monday 9^th August at the Club. The two Hastings Teams, Tuis and Bellbirds have been very competitive and are a few points behind Napier Kauri. It’s down to the wire.

The Crossman Competition has been completed and the results are: -

Singles Match Play: 1^st Napier (20.5) and 2^nd Hastings (17)

4 Ball Best Ball: 1^st Combined (9.5), 2^nd Napier (9) and 3^rd Hastings (7.5)

Well done to the Hastings Crossman team members.

Captains v Presidents

This annual competition is held on Tuesday 17^th August and is open to 18 Hole and 9 Hole members.

The cost of this competition is $5 per person. Prizes are for Best Stableford each team 18 holes, Approach, Longest Putt, and a raffle. You have the option of entering in the Captains, Presidents team or either team, we will then allocate you to a team in the best interests of the competition.

Mona Hunter

This is an annual Stableford Tournament played between Hastings, Napier, and Waipukurau Golf Clubs. Playing for the Mona Hunter Trophy. The date is Monday 23^rd August held at our Golf Club. If you wish to enter, please register your interest on the flyer in the women’s locker room.

18 Hole & 9 Hole Mystery Trips

Brett from SpecialTee Golf has organised two mystery golf days for our women 18- & 9-Hole members the details are:

18 Holes Mystery Golf Day

Tuesday 31^st August

Cost $35 per person includes lunch.

Meet at Hastings Golf Club at 9am

9 Hole Mystery Golf Day

Wednesday 1^st September

Cost $20 per person

Meet at Hastings Golf Club at 9.15am

Margery Holt Memorial – Silver Division / Bronze 1 / Bronze 11 Match Play / Proffitt Fourball

The draw is up and just a reminder to contact your opposition and arrange your matches.

Senior / Intermediate / Junior / 9 Hole Club Championships

The draw is up in the women’s locker room and a reminder round two should be completed by 29^th August. The finals of the above championships will be played on Sunday 31^st October. The winners will represent the Club at the Champion of Champions hosted by Maraenui on Sunday 21^st November.

Suzelles Shootout Competition

This annual competition is well underway. You can enter via DotGolf on the day, please pay at the Pro Shop, and remember you must putt all holes. Look forward to seeing more entries and I see some members have recorded great stableford scores. Well done.

Club Days

Just a reminder if you are playing a match on a Club day, please advise the Pro Shop as your scorecard is not eligible for any Club competitions. If you can tick no under competitions, the computer will not add your score to the daily competition.

Just a note to let you know that if you are unable to reserve a tee time due to bookings. You can put your name on the waiting list. Just scroll up and there is a box which says add to waitlist click this and you can nominate a time.
