Membership Update – Golf Club Development and Plan Change
We would like to provide an update on the ongoing development proposal and associated plan change currently with Hastings District Council.
The developers are actively preparing for the upcoming hearing by building a robust body of evidence and continuing to engage with the range of specialists involved in the application process. This includes input across planning, environmental, traffic, and other relevant disciplines.
Hastings District Council has confirmed that four independent commissioners will be appointed to oversee the hearing. These appointments will be formally announced following the Council’s meeting in May.
Key Dates:
The hearing is scheduled to take place on 11, 12, and 16 June 2025.
We will continue to keep members informed as the process progresses.

Development Sub-Committee Chair

A Masters To Remember
Last month eight club members headed to Augusta to tick off their bucket list item. From all accounts a truly memorable experience – and not a bad result either.
One that made that journey was member Wayne Mudgway, who has not stopped talking about the trip! For a full report on the experience and if you need any further encouragement to ‘just do it’, click here.
Thanks Wayne, appreciate you sharing your experience with us.
Frost Policy
As we start to feel the autumnal mornings and the seasons change, a reminder of the Club’s Frost Policy.
FROST POLICY
Monday – Early tee times before play can commence are lost.
Tuesday – Women’s Competition Day. Women have priority, even when delayed by frost.
Wednesday – Early tee times before play can commence are lost.
Thursday – Players that fail to make the turn by 11:00am MUST give way to the afternoon field.
Friday - Early tee times before play can commence are lost.
Saturday – Early tee times before play can commence are lost.
If frost cancels all play, including those women playing in a club competition, the women that are playing in the club competition will be given priority for the 1st available tee times. This could cause a slight delay to the afternoon field but should allow most of the afternoon field to complete play.
Sunday - Early tee times before play can commence are lost.
A notification will be sent to all players booked on the tee sheet via Golf NZ App if there is a frost delay. This will advise the time that the course will open for play. Please ensure you have notifications turned on.
It is important that names on the start sheet are those members that intend to play.
