Happy New Year everyone.
The Management Committee met this week and have agreed, according to Clause 8.2(e) of the constitution, to co-opt Matthew Bennett onto the Management Committee. We feel that we, and of course the members, will benefit from Matthew’s successful business background and his shared vision of the club’s financial sustainability and capital growth. At the same time, Matthew is of the same view as the committee that members’ subscriptions should not rise above an affordable level.
Coming up we have the Wallace Development Pro-am tournament on Wednesday 21 January and the Wallace Development Hastings Open on 24 and 25 January. Both events seem to have reached capacity in terms of entries which is good to see.
Sadly, Alan Chapman who served as President of our club from 2005 to 2007 and President of Golf HB & PBW after this has passed away. Our condolences go to Alan’s family.
It’s hot out there! Make sure you take plenty of water when you play and slap on the sunscreen.
