The Management Committee has approved an increase in green fees, effective 1 April. We feel, and I am sure our members will agree, that we should align our green fees with clubs we feel are comparable to our own. That is, those clubs that attract consistent visitor play despite premium pricing, position themselves confidently as destination golf experiences and place strong emphasis on visitor service. Our green fee income so far this year being ahead of budget would support this.
The new green fees are:
Affiliated Visitors $130
Member Guest Affiliate $ 95
Member Guest Non-Affiliate $105
Green fees for non-affiliates, junior visitors and visitors from the clubs in our region will not increase.
Thank you to the members who attended the engagement sessions regarding our Golf Committee’s Gender-Neutral Tee Times proposal. The Club Captains and Brett have invested a lot of time and consideration into this new, forward-thinking pathway for particularly our full playing members. You will see the tee sheets, significantly for Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, reflect the slots for “Members” from 1 May. From that date your comments on your experience of this program will be welcome and a reminder that these should be emailed to your club captains.
We are getting closer to the week of the development plan change hearing – 20-24 April. A reminder that this hearing is open to the public. It is the next step in our path to the development, but patience is still required. After the hearing we will wait for the decision and a possible appeal hearing after that. We will continue to keep members informed as we go through this process.
