Women's Update

I hope everyone is enjoying the extra freedom of level 2 and being to play outside of your bubble. Official competitions will be starting again on June 20th. In hindsight, we may have been able to start a little earlier, but the calendar was re-done during level 4 with no idea of when we could play competition golf again. We felt it better to err on the cautious side, rather than having to re-do the programme a third time. You can view the new programme online here. If you print this out, please remember to check back to the online version just in case other changes have to be made.

Cancellations for the season

Lucy May/Bays Bronze a decision has now been made to cancel this inter-provincial tournament for 2020. After consultation with clubs, the zone reps felt that the clubs were under enough pressure to get their own tournaments completed without the extra pressure of players having to travel.

Still Going Ahead

Crossman Cup has been confirmed to continue for the season. Games are scheduled for:

June 7th, Napier

July 26th, Hawkes Bay

August 9th, Maraenui

August 30th, Hastings

Good luck to the Crossman team, and if you are available to play but don’t already have your name down, please get in touch.

LGU events can be played at each clubs’ discretion, and they have been included in the new program.

Audrey Kelly Salver and District Medal competition, this has been added to the program on June 20th and 23rd.

Recent Survey

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the recent food and beverage survey undertaken by the club. There was a lot of useful feedback that the Management Committee has been discussing. Feedback from surveys is anonymous to enable participants to speak freely, so to the member who asked for a call back to discuss women’s golf I’m sorry I haven’t phoned you, but I don’t know who you are. As always, I am happy to discuss this with any member, and I welcome your phone call or email anytime.

Keep well and see you on the golf course.

Regards, Liz
