Congratulations to Trish & Tony Lythgoe our 2021 winners of the Newbigin Foursomes,

 

It was a fantastic afternoon and great to see so many members here on a Sunday enjoying the facilities.  A shame Jim was unable to make it and we all wish him a speedy recovery. 

Tickets are now on sale for the club's end of year party!  This is a great chance to get members, family and friends together for one final party to see out 2021.

The club's Greenwood Cup team heads to Onga Onga this weekend to play rounds 1-3 of the 2021 competition.

We would like to thank all the Hastings representative golfers that made themselves available for our defence of the Greenwood Cup for 2021.  The selectors were spoilt for choice with so many great golfers available to us for selection.  It really is a sign that Hastings Golf Club is in a very strong position for this event and the future of our other representative events.

As in past years we will try to keep everyone updated with our progress on the clubs Facebook page.

 

The finals of the Greenwood Cup are at Hastings on 20-21 November with 36 holes each day.  It is always great to have members come and support the team so pop that date in your diary.

Congratulations to Peter McIntosh who recently gained his District Rules Official Badge.  Peter now joins the elite few members that can be used for rulings on the course.

 

We have received 21 resignations since 22 September - 12 October. 

We still continue to experience the difficulties surrounding hospitality and as such have had to make a decision to close the clubhouse this coming Monday, 18 October. 

We do apologise for any inconvenience and it's certainly not a decision made lightly.

 

If you do hear of any persons in hospitality looking for a change please do mention to them and have them get in touch with Stefen Leach. 

 

Postponements 

Malaghan Institute Charity Tournament will now be held next year, not 29 October.

Par NZ Four Course Classic will be Monday 29 November (from 1 November)
