Welcome to 2022 and hopefully a year of uninterrupted golf! 

 

There has been some magnificent weather to start the year and this is your friendly reminder to stayed hydrated.  It's easy to forget to drink enough water during your round and this can cause heat issues and we don't want anyone fainting on us.  We have plenty of water fountains throughout the course so remember your water bottle to refill.

 

We have two sunscreen stations; one between the pro shop and trundler shed and one on the 10th tee. We thank Russell and Dawn Holland for their continued sponsorship of the supply of sunscreen. 

We ended 2021 with a hole in one scored during the Christmas Cheer day by Danny Adcock on No 4 and off to a flying start for 2022 as well.

Another successful year for our predator free campaign has resulted in a total of 143 vermin caught, 64 of them being rats with the rest mice, starts and hedgehogs.  We have now completed three years of this program and total project kills are 450, 208 of which are rats and 13 mustelids (stoats, weasels and ferrets).  

 

Bird life is blossoming as a result, with many large families of quail currently being seen on the course.  Many thanks for the member support in funding the purchase of these traps, and for the small group who maintain the traps and the bird feeders spread around the course.

Due to constant changes over the last two years, staggering increased printing costs and moving with the times, there will be no printed golf book this year.
