Finals Await

Congratulations to our mens team's that are participating in upcoming district finals.

Coronation Cup final to be played at Waipukurau Golf Club 21 & 22 May.

Pennants Finals - Champ 2 & 3 and Handicap 1 all made the finals to be played at Waipukurau Golf Club 15 May.

Course Etiquette

Slow Play: The regular occurrence of "Slow Play" is discussed consistently among members, and with the thought that almost every golfer has at sometime expressed concern about the effects of slow play on their enjoyment of the game. Have a look at the following ideas to see how many you can 'tick off' during your round:

Keep an eye on the timings that are on the right hand side of the scorecard. These are the times you should be on the tee of that particular hole. Making sure you are as close to these times as possible is going to help the flow of the field. Ensure if you are 'ahead' of time that you take this into account as well. If you are too fast this can also make the field feel slow when it's actually not.

Keep sight of the group in front of you, not behind you. If the group in front of you is in the fairway, your group should be on the tee box ready to hit when the group in front moves on to their next shot.

No 'honour' system. If you are ready to hit - GO!

Be ready to hit as soon as you get to the ball. Indecision about your shot will not help your golf!

Leave your bag/trundler/cart in the direction of your next hole.

Record all your scores on the next tee box NOT on the green.

Monday Gardening Club

The first date for the garden club is coming up on 24 May covering Holes 1-3 and the Driving Range.

Numbers are low so if you are able to volunteer some time please get in touch with Ben Simons on turf@hastingsgolfclub.co.nz to let him know if you can assist.

Course Divot Run

The divot run from April has been rescheduled due to lack of numbers to Wednesday 25 May.  If there are enough member volunteers it should take no more than a couple of hours (start time 9:30am).  If you have some time to give back please email Ben to register.

Subscriptions Now Overdue

Members second subscription instalment was due for payment on or before 30 April 2022.  It is appreciated that if you are yet to tidy this payment up it is done so at your earliest convenience.
