Greenwood Cup

The final rounds of the Greenwood Cup are being played at Napier Golf Club this weekend.

Good luck to our team consisting of Aaron Shirley, Mike Trass, Stuart Duff, Mike Wilson, Jared McGillicuddy, Josh Beattie, Mark Tasker, Andrew Mouat, Henry Yortt, Nicholas Schnell (making his debut), Brad Schmilian. Managed and reserve is Paul Clothier.

Hastings Ladies Classic

The inaugural classic was held this week and we welcomed 124 ladies to the club for two rounds of golf on Monday and Tuesday.

Day 1 Pairs competition was won by Rebecca Riddell and Jo Archer (RAGGC) with a team score of 48 points.

Day 2 Gross was won by Di Syer with a 76 and Andrea Cranswick won the Stableford competition with 41 points.

Thank you to all the participants and members that hosted many from out of town.

A huge thanks to the tournament sponsors. Events such as this require community sponsorship and we are grateful for the support of this tournament from Miranda Smith Homecare, Jarden, Tori Morrison Tremains.

Membership Subscriptions

Your membership subs were due for payment on 31st October 2022. If you have yet to pay your attention is appreciated.

For any unfinacial members, DotGolf will 'click off' from next week and you'll be unable to draw a scorecard.

Preferred method is direct credit straight into the club's bank account or eftpos is available in the Office and Pro Shop as well.

Please do call in and collect your new membership cards, we'd like to get these issued as soon as possible.

Course Care

What do you think when you see this image? This is your course. This is how someone practicing on the Short Course has left it.

PLEASE use the Short Course for practice and leave it as you would expect to find it.

Greenkeepers in the Firing Line

Unfortunately we have had our greenkeepers hit whilst mowing the members practice range. The range will now be considered closed if mowing is being done. Please look out for signage stating range closed and wait until this area is cleared before commencing practice.

Playing 16/17 Holes

Due to several close calls for our Greenkeepers safety when working on the 17th hole, members are reminded to refer to Rule 5.1 Meaning of Round. A 'round' is 18 or fewer holes played in the order set by the Committee. When players reach Hole 16 the hole must be completed before commencing play of Hole 17. It is also worth noting in stroke play the penalty failing to hole out is Disqualification Rule 3.3c.
