Hello, I am your new Women’s Club Captain – Annabelle Absolom. I am supported by Christine Bird and Jane Howie who are also on the Golf Committee as well as Robyn Bell, Women’s Vice President, all representing women in the club. A big thank you to Robyn Stallard for helping me transition into the role.

In January, we have the Wallace Developments Hastings Open Charles Tournament. This is a reminder the course is closed from 25th to 29th January 2023 for this event. If you are interested in playing in this prestigious event, please contact Brett in the Pro Shop. We also need some member volunteers for various jobs, namely progress boards, spotting, and scorecard checking. If you able to help during any of these four days of the tournament, please register your name with the Pro Shop.
Summer Closing and Winter Opening Day is on Tuesday 14th February 2023. Its open to all members. This is a fun event in the calendar, and you can play either 9 holes (teams of 4) or 18 holes (teams of 6). I encourage you to gather a group and register a team – the flyer will be up beginning of January with more information, and we have a lovely lunch and prize giving to attend after the golf in Fairways Café|Bar.
Pennants/Crossman Cup
Hastings Golf Club will be registering two midweek 18 hole Pennants teams, one 9 hole team and a Sunday Crossman Cup team. This is a fun competition which runs from March to June. It is a great way to meet other golfers in Hawke's Bay and to play on different courses.
