Greenwood Cup - HB Inter-club Competition

Golf HB has confirmed that the Greenwood Cup competition is to progress in 2023, with the first qualifying rounds to be played at the Dannevirke Golf Club the weekend of 14th & 15th October.

The final rounds will be played at the Hawkes Bay Golf Club, dates to be confirmed.  Hastings Golf Club, as current holders, will be out to defend the Cup so we wish the selected team all the best in their endeavours.

Men’s 9 Hole Golf invitation

A small number of men members are meeting regularly on Monday and Thursday mornings to play nine holes. If you would like to join these members and enjoy a “stress free” nine holes of golf (as they put it) followed by a coffee in good company, please feel free to contact Don Jackson on either phone 06 877 4597 or email

Golf Committee roles

If you have a passion for golf and the club and are interested in standing for Men Golf Committee positions, we would like to hear from you.

Club 125-year Celebrations

There has been a positive response from members in procuring tickets to attend the Celebration activities to be held on 2nd December.

If you haven’t already, call into the Club Office and buy your tickets now.

A fun day experience is planned for all.

Frost Delays

It has been a few challenging few weeks for many members with the course being closed in the mornings because of frosty conditions. These actions are not taken lightly and are in the best interests of course condition.

The good news is the first signs of spring are now obvious so we will soon enjoy longer, warmer days to play our golf.
