Dear Guest,

Our last Women’s update for the year!

Diana Syer – Representing NZ in Vietnam

The trip started a little shakily for Diana as her golf clubs didn’t arrive, on the same flight as her into Vietnam!  We all know the anxiety that can cause!  Diana had 3 competition rounds each taking 5 1/2 - 6 hours to play in buggies with caddies and with each day getting hotter. The Australians were the favourites to beat, and they did win both Men’s and Women’s divisions overall.  Diana Syer and Stuart Duff -  both divisions came in 2nd place.  Diana said they were both very happy with their first ever performance on this worldwide stage. Congratulations - what an amazing experience for you both!

Diana and Stuart have both been chosen for the Trans Tasman Tournament held in Taupo in February 2024 to represent NZ again.  We wish them all the best to challenge the Australians again, on home turf!

Noteworthy rounds of Congratulations.

Robyn Stallard on 15th November played 9 under her handicap with Gross 81.

Men V Women November - rising $615 dollars for Breast and Prostate Cancer.

Congratulations to the men, winning for the 2nd time this year.  A very fun day with our male models Mark and Sean modelling Thomsons Suits new season’s clothing and Vicki and Jo Wynne-Lewis modelling swimwear from Suzelle Lingerie and Swimwear.

I want to acknowledge and thank both Angus from Thomsons Suits and Lyndy from Suzelles again for sponsoring the event, they were pleased with the success and will continue their sponsorship for next year.

Come on ladies - we have a date for next year being Tuesday 3rd September so if you are around please come and help the women try to gain a win from the men!  The event will be bigger next year due to the enjoyment and support from members.
